Basic supplies that you will need regardless of the pattern you choose:
- Stiletto (By Annie brand works fantastic!) $20 (Not Annie is $7.99)
- Small travel iron (can share)/Wool Pressing Mat.
- Karen K Buckley Medium scissors (Blue handle) these are micro serrated and provide a clean finished edge when cutting motifs/fabrics $30
- 18” wide Steam a Seam 2 Lite on a roll….. 7 yards minimum (sounds like a lot but almost everyone will need more!). I will have extra rolls the day of the workshop ($156 for a roll of 25 yards-can be shared)
- Applique pressing sheet 17” x 24” (Goddess brand if possible) we will use this as a barrier between fabric and Steam a Seam to protect our irons!) I also have had folks go to the Dollar Store and purchase a teflon oven liner ….(usually brown in color) $37/$5
- 1 Large pool noodle (we will use this to roll our projects onto so we don’t make creases before we finish the piece) – I also store all of my finished projects around them .. $1
- 2 – Pencils (number 2) and a small pencil sharpener
- Fabrics at least 10” x 10” for solids/batiks…. Fat quarters of large motifs/flowers. If in doubt, folks can purchase a kit directly from Laura Heine and then add from their stash based on what fabrics are in the kit. (I even purchase her kits and then add/subtract based on my creative ideas)
- Pattern – $25 for 3 Teeny Tinies or more.
